The Historic Lowry House Concert Series

The Historic Lowry House at 1205 Kildare Street in Huntsville, Alabama was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. In June, 2006, it was restored and reopened for weddings, receptions and meetings. Recently the Lowry House started a concert series featuring songwriters in a beautiful, listening room atmosphere

Saturday, February 22, 2014 - 7:00PM

"Our newest house concert features Mary Justice Lucas, Travis Widner, and Dave Stocks. Mary Justice and Travis, extremely talented young artists, write and perform well beyond their years. In addition, both have extensive professional performances on their resume.

Dave Stocks is a one-of-a-kind talent that always leaves you wanting more. He injects so much of his soul into his performances that one tends to get lost in his music. One can expect to hear a unique style which combine intricate guitar playing and impressive lyrics.

This combination of exceptional musical talent and professional quality sound and light systems serve to unequivocally enhance your listening experience! The elegance and beauty of the Italianate home (circa 1832), the limitation of guests at each concert, and the "listening room" atmosphere lend a feeling of intimacy to the concerts. Expect to experience an unparalleled evening of listening and viewing pleasure.

We are also pleased that the series provides "something for everyone" as each Singer/Songwriter Showcase highlights performers with differing styles and also crosses many genres of music, including country, indie, Americana, folk, and more!" James C. Polhemus
